Specialist/ Architect, Battery Pack development (Automotive)
Job Location : Bangalore
Experience : 12 to 18 years
Job Description
• Inputs and review of Requirement specification documents and guiding the team to interpret the requirement related to the component level and design level
• Guiding and performing design reviews as required – from concept phase through to release – contribute in design inputs, identifying risks and outlining potential methods of implementation
• Cell, module layout and configuration reviews for various concepts
• Review related to the material selections
• Review the design related to electrical and thermal management of the battery packs
• Built the competent team for Li-ion battery pack development
• Guidance on Brought Out / Standard parts used in battery Pack
• Inputs and review on design considerations related to Validation and Testing of Battery pack
• Identifying Failure mode of battery in application and providing solutions
• Providing design solutions for the problem identified during course of development
• Inputs and review on design considerations related to various standards and field conditions
• Inputs and review on design considerations related to process automation
• Identify the design risk, should be able to mitigate
B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Electrical
Skills required:
• Expertise knowledge in the design and development of Li-ion Battery packs development for automotive, domestic and industrial applications
• Exposure in undergoing the complete life cycle of the Li-ion battery pack development
• Subject matter expert in Li-ion battery cells and chemistry
• Proven working experience in electrical, thermal engineering, and system integration for Li-ion battery packs
• Understanding of the chemistry of different types of cells and experience with electrochemical modeling of lithium ion batteries, fuel cells, or capacitors
• Ability in defining material specification for components in Li-ion battery packs
• Overview and experience on the standards like UL1642, ICE62133,UN38.3 and other automotive standards for design consideration
• Ability to perform Cell Layout review for Li-ion battery packs
• Experience in identifying the failure modes of battery packs
• Expertise knowledge in Validation and Testing of Battery pack and design considerations for field conditions
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
