JOB SCOPE

To provide legal consultation, guidance, and advice to the CEO, Board, and the wider business on all legal matters.

Provide advice and guidance across the business where required on Airports contractual policies, procedures, and manuals to ensure compliance with the regional and international laws as applicable

Assist with the interpretation of complex legal documents to support the business

Develop and implement a budget for the Legal department and monitor actual vs. planned variances for optimization of resources

Provide assistance and legal opinion to all entities under Airports in order to effectively handle all operations that have legal implications; with the aim of protecting Airports

Assist in the negotiation of new ventures with the government and private partners as required

Complete all necessary documentation and submittals for the court to represent cases for Airports

Coordinate and follow up on court cases with the Company’s external lawyers to stay informed on the proceedings

Study the implications of all legal cases in which Airports is involved in order to recommend appropriate action

Identify all legal, operational and financial risks which the company may face in order to implement necessary precautions

Keep abreast of all legislation in which Airports operates and that may impact the business. If there are changes in the legislation, recommend the required changes to the Company and oversee the implementation in order to ensure that the business is legally compliant

Set and agree with individual goals for all direct reports and evaluate individual performance, providing regular feedback and coaching in line with good people management practices

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in law (specialization in Aviation law preferred)

Minimum 10 years’ legal PQE in a recognized jurisdiction or equivalent including 5 years’ experience in the Legal department of an airport
