The Role Responsibilities
  • Act as an Agile Product Owner within a dedicated Agile Scrum team for projects supporting Creditmate system
  • Supporting other projects (Creditmate enhancements, Workbench %26ndash; RAPTOR, Risk View etc) %26amp; product owners from a SME point of view
  • Solicit, validate and document business requirements through clear understanding of AS-IS vs. TO-BE process, document into user stories with clear acceptance criteria
  • Conduct requirements workshop sessions with multiple user groups/ stakeholders including stakeholders from risk, CB %26amp; CF.
  • Manage common/conflicting requirements across Stakeholders to arrive at a common ground
  • Be the %26ldquo;translator%26rdquo; between business and technology ensuring system solution/changes proposed will meet business requirements
  • Define and facilitate User Acceptance Testing with multiple user groups/stakeholders across global markets
  • Ensure business change readiness through training material preparation and execution of training sessions (potentially involving occasional travel)
  • Follow the established Agile Delivery Framework governing the interaction between business and IT organizations that support WorkBench deliverables
  • Be responsible for maximizing the value of the product resulting from the work done by the development team and must work collaboratively with key domain experts and technology teams to drive successful delivery of capabilities
  • Review and understand key business policies and processes
  • As Product Owner (PO) you will develop and maintain a vision for agile technology projects and be responsible for communicating that vision to the scrum team. Be responsible for agile technology projects and features from concept to final implementation.
  • As PO you will work with architects, business stakeholders and development teams to ensure that business, quality and functional goals are met with each release. Be responsible for the design, usability, quality and delivery of agile technology projects and features.
  • As PO you will be the key decision maker on priorities and design decisions, and work to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned at each stage of the agile development lifecycle. As PO you%26#39;ll need to understand both the engineering and business side of releases and be ultimately responsible for representing the end user%26#39;s needs.
  • Provide business input on requirements to the technology project teams. Work with subject-matter experts in product teams, front office and operations on requirements (e.g., a new electronic workflow to simplify layers of checking, or to auto-populate repeated fields in client forms). Prioritise %26ldquo;must have%26rdquo; items vs. %26ldquo;good to have%26rdquo;.
  • Review technology plans and design specifications, to ensure business requirements are met and that benefits will be delivered. Identify impact on critical processes within the Bank%26#39;s operational risk framework, and work with process owners and project teams to ensure robust controls.
  • Work with technology project teams to develop test plans. Co-ordinate business users to test new platforms or technology features that are developed. Ensure final delivery meets user needs.
  • Work with stakeholders in the front, middle and back offices to ensure successful %26ldquo;go live%26rdquo; of projects, from the business perspective. Develop commercialisation plans and training material, co-ordinate briefings, design and execute communication plans. Gather feedback post-implementation, and track benefits
  • Participate in project review meetings and identify/highlight any potential issue that may impact project%26#39;s cost, timeline and/or scope and work with concerned stakeholders for its early resolution to bring back the project on track
  • Conduct periodic briefings to senior management on progress of technology project, from the business perspective. Highlight issues that require resolution

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 7 to 10 years%26rsquo; experience
  • Agile Product owner certification with experience of performing the role
  • Proven track record of working as a business analyst on complex projects %26ndash; including system/ process change
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to deep dive to drive solutions %26ndash; methodical and thorough
  • Proven ability to take a step back and look at the macro view to connect the dots between requirements
  • Strong stakeholder management skills in engaging senior stakeholders
  • Proven ability to perform under high pressure in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to present to a large audience with comfort
  • Experienced in transitioning from Waterfall to Agile, guiding inexperienced teams as product owner
  • Ability to take initiative and work with minimal management oversight
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams across business and technology
  • Must have previous experience as a Product Owner or Business Lead for Digital Insurance technology projects
  • Strong skills in conceptual and quantitative problem-solving, aligning a broad range of stakeholders from multiple functions, and executing against a tightly-defined timeline. Experience in working with technology project teams, from the business perspective, a significant plus.
  • Excellent professional skils, includin verbal, presentation and written communication skills; ability to simultaneously %26quot;see the big picture%26quot; and manage the details of implementation; ability to follow through on execution.
