Technical Knowledge & Experience:
ICD 10 AM coding knowledge and experience is a must.
Advanced principles and practices of medical record keeping
Advanced medical terminology, anatomy & physiology as well as the states, sequences, progression & description of disease as they apply to medical record coding and abstraction
Knowledge of standard coding guidelines
Advanced principles and practices
Coding of multispeciality outpatient on a daily basis
Confirm all supporting documents are provided to justify the medical codes assigned
Maintaining of logs and productivity records on a daily basis
Ability to comprehend whether secondary diagnosis or procedures are code able
Meet set targets and KPI’s set by the supervisor or manager
Conduct analysis and report any trends to the supervisor
