We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer

Job Profile:

A Maintenance Engineer strives to maintain efficiency and quality in the work setting. They evaluate current business practices, looking for ways to improve productivity, reduce costs, and make the best use of the business’s resources. Should have experience in any Manufacturing plant.

Duties and Responsibilities

Process Improvement

• Suggest and implement improvements to current production processes towards the improvement of product quality

• Anticipate potential problems, analyze and propose corrective actions

• Ensure products are produced on time and are of good quality

• When machine-related issues arise, provide accurate and full support for machines setting and fabrication related to automation and automatic control

• Maximize the production process to lower wastage

• Facilitate the creation and development of a new product

• Continuously suggest and develop improvements inline

• Communicate and report problems, recommendations as they arise


• Monitor the functioning of all types of machinery placed under the area of responsibility

• Implement the lubrication and greasing plan activity.

• Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as card, conveyors, compressor, AC units, and miscellaneous machinery, hydraulic circuit, etc.

• Repair or replace mechanical parts of production machines

• Assume charge for the machines under the area of responsibility in case of breakdown until correct operation status is resumed

• Fabrication and modification of new and existing equipment.

• Identify corrective maintenance interventions, suggest improvements, collect data, justifications and quotations for management decision/action

• Ensure proper inventory of mechanical parts in the store and their physical inspection on arrival into the store

• Maintenance of spare parts inventory related to this field

• Communicate and report problems, recommendations as they arise


• Carry out risk assessments and consider how risks could be reduced

• Prepare health and safety strategies and develop internal policy

• Outline safe operational procedures which identify and take into account all relevant hazards

• Ensure working practices are safe and comply with industry standards and legislation

• Lead in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks

• Keep records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements

• Record incidents and accidents and produce statistics and reports for managers

• Ensure fire and safety equipment in working condition with up-to-date inspections and certification

• Organize and document biannual fire drill

• Perform periodic safety inspections and tests, manage external parties when required
